Project Introduction
This project involves a faith-based Islamic service platform designed to serve individuals seeking spiritually meaningful services. Websites in this space require a unique SEO approach, where search visibility, trust, emotional connection, and religious sensitivity must work together.
The primary goal of this project was to rank the website on Google and generate organic traffic that converts. The work reflects my experience in SEO for Islamic websites and SEO for religious organizations, where standard SEO tactics alone are not enough.
Why SEO for Islamic & Religious Websites Is Different
Unlike typical commercial sites, religious organizations and Islamic platforms face unique challenges:
- Users search with emotional and spiritual intent
- Trust and credibility directly impact conversions
- Content must remain respectful, authentic, and accurate
- UX plays a major role in engagement and rankings
This project required an SEO strategy tailored specifically for Islamic audiences and faith-based organizations.
My Role in the Project
I worked as the Dedicated SEO Expert, leading the project with a ranking-first mindset, not just audits or reports.
My responsibilities included:
- Ranking-focused SEO strategy
- Technical and on-page SEO improvements
- Keyword research for Islamic and religious intent
- UX alignment for faith-based audiences
- SEO-led development coordination
- Long-term organic growth planning
This is an ongoing SEO project.
Phase 1: SEO Audit (Removing Ranking Barriers)
A comprehensive SEO audit was conducted using SEMrush and manual analysis to identify what was preventing the website from ranking.

Key Issues Identified
Technical SEO
- Slow page speed on mobile and desktop
- 4xx and 5xx errors impacting crawlability
- Broken FAQ page (404)
- Indexation and crawl inefficiencies
On-Page SEO
- Missing or incorrect H1 tags
- Missing image alt attributes
- Weak internal linking structure
UX & Conversion Barriers (Critical for Religious Websites)
- Non-functional booking flow
- Broken mobile CTA
- Poor responsiveness
- Homepage layout not optimized for engagement or trust
These issues were directly limiting rankings and user confidence, a critical factor in SEO for religious organizations.

Baseline SEO Metrics (Pre-Optimization)
- Domain Authority: 1
- Page Authority: 12
- SEMrush Site Health Score: 2
- Backlinks: 14
- Referring Domains: 13
This confirmed the site was at an early SEO stage, common in many Islamic and faith-based websites that have not yet implemented a proper SEO strategy.

In faith-based SEO, UX is not optional—it directly affects engagement, trust, and rankings.
I worked closely with the development team to:
- Fix speed and crawl issues
- Restore broken pages
- Make CTAs functional across devices
- Improve responsiveness and layout
- Prepare the site for SEO scalability
Strategic Insight
I recommended a complete website revamp to better reflect:

- Clear trust signals
The website has since been fully revamped to support ranking growth.
